Analysis of census households with at least one person of Roma ethnicity or mother tongue

The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with Infostat presents an analysis of census households with at least one person of Roma ethnicity or mother tongue. The aim of the material is to analyse the character of census households with persons declaring Roma ethnicity or declaring Roma mother tongue by means of data from the Census. In addition, it aims to identify possible differences with the non-Roma population. The present findings are of great importance for the understanding of the Roma population in Slovakia, as no explicit analysis of census households of persons of Roma ethnicity or mother tongue has been carried out so far.
