RTVS has brought a three-part series, on how to get counted properly. The series was prepared by the Statistical Office of the SR and it contained all the necessary instructions on how to count correctly and especially about the importance of the Census for the Slovak Republic.

Film about 2021 Population and Housing Census

The first census in independent Czechoslovakia was in 1921, and in 2021 we commemorated its 100th anniversary. After a hundred years, a historic and profound change in the philosophy, form and implementation of census came. The traditional census was abandoned and switched to a combined census that combined data from residents with data from administrative sources. The new census concept was difficult to prepare and is behind it all the experts who participated in it. With its fully electronic unit, it also took care of counting in the form of a small revolution in the use of digital tools.
