What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent and stored in a device (computer, tablet, smartphone) from which the user connects to the Internet and accesses the website of the 2021 Population and Housing Census (hereinafter referred to as "2021 Census"), which is operated by Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as the “SO SR”). These files are very useful because they allow you to recognize the page according to the user's preferences. For example, when you visit a website on the same device, a cookie indicates that you are a returning visitor. By using the 2021 Census website, you give consent to the storage and use of cookies.

How does the SO SR use cookies?

SO SR uses cookies to identify the computer and monitors the users internet activity on the 2021 Census website. This enables to improve the website and adapt it to the needs of website users. The SO SR does not use cookies for advertising campaigns. Cookies do not include any personal data and it is not possible to identify you on third-party websites.
