The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic published additional data for declarative variables
After the publication of the basic results on ethnicity, other ethnicity and mother tongue, based on the requests of data users, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic re-evaluated the procedure for disseminating data from 2021 Census and on 8 February 2022 published data for the declarative variables in combination. The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic donates census tablets to municipalities
Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for Public Admistration and Regional Develoment supported the intention of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic to donate to municipalities the tablets used in the assisted enumeration for 2021 Census. The Statistical Office publishes additional data from 2021 Census
In December 2021, the Statistical Office of the SLovak Republic presented and published the basic results from the census of houses and dwellings and the first selected basic results on residents on the census page, the data were available for the SR, regions and districts. In January 2022, the Statistical Office of the SLovak Republic publishes all these data to the level of municipalities, including the publication of the number of permanent residents in individual municipalities, and at the same time, basic data on size groups of municipalities, country of birth, age structure according to age units, religion, ethnicity, another ethnicity and mother tongue. On September 9-10, 2021, the 20th Slovak Statistical Conference and the 18th Slovak Demographic Conference were held. The double conference was organized by the Slovak Statistical and Demographic Society in cooperation with the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic and the Faculty of Economics of theMatej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.

The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic received an award for the extraordinary results in the use of the Geographic Information System (GIS) at 2021 Census
The Statistical Office of the SR, which was selected from more than 300 thousand of suitable candidates, received this award for the innovative use of mapping and analytical techniques in the implementation of "Territorial Planning" for the purposes of the 2021 Population and Housing Census.
