Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic published "Time series"

As part of the ongoing dissemination of data from the 2021 Census, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic has published time series for population, houses, dwellings and households on its website www.scitanie.sk.

What are time series and what form do they take

Time series are data that track the evolution of a given indicator over time. The start of the time series for each indicator varies, depending on the availability of data and the comparability aspect of the data.

Time series data for population, houses, dwellings and households are presented in the form of dashboards, which are made up of graphs and two-dimensional tables in which one dimension is always the territory of the Slovak Republic and the other is the content variable being surveyed. All data can be downloaded in three formats (XLSX, CSV, JSON).

Time series indicators

For population, 13 indicators are available, seven of them with a time series beginning as early as the second half of the 19th century (number of population, population density, population by sex, economic age groups, 5-year age groups, religious belief, mother tongue).

The indicators for houses (6) and dwellings (6) provide time series data on permanently occupied houses and dwellings, as well as indicators on the connection of houses to utilities and on the facilities of dwellings.

For households, indicators (3) on the number of dwelling households and the number and types of census households are available.

The time series can be found at www.scitanie.sk:
